The Kano state police command today arraigned President Buhari ’s second term campaigner in the state, Dan’Bilki Komanda , before the magistrate Court 26 in the state for impersonation and defamation of character. The self acclaimed second term campaigner was taken from police cell to court amid tight security this morning. He was arrested by the police following a petition by two of President Buhari’s Special Assistants, Sha’aban Sharada and Bashir Suleiman and one of their friends, Malam Hafiz, who accused the suspect of “attacking their personality in a Radio programme aired in Kano''. The court hearing is currently ongoing.

Nigeria Military Authorise #RitaDominic's '76' Team To Shoot Boko Haram Movie

The creators of ‘76,’ an award-winning epic movie about the overthrow of Major-General Murtala Muhammed, will now follow-up with a feature on the Boko Haram saga. Adonijah Owiriwa of Adonis Production, which co-produced ‘76’ with Prince Tonye Princewill, said a story was already being developed and that the Nigerian Military was collaborating on the project. In an interview with Vanguard, Owirira said Princewill and Izu Ojukwu, the Director of ‘76’ and himself, recently spent one week in Maiduguri, conferring with top Military brass. BREAKING: NJC replaces Salami with Galadima as head of graft cases monitoring committee

The National Judicial Council on Tuesday replaced a former President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami, as the head of the Corruption and Financial Crime Cases Trial Monitoring Committee. A statement by the Director of Information of the NJC, Mr. Soji, stated that Salami was replaced by a retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Suleiman Galadima. The replacement followed last week’s resignation of Salami as the chairman of the 16-man committee. Justice Salami had reportedly turned in his resignation letter before a date for the committee’s inauguration could be announced. ‎The NJC stated that the Justice Galadima-led committee would be inaugurated on Wednesday, November 1. Woman rents house, kidnaps neighbors' three kids four days after

A woman has abducted the three children of her neighbors, just four days after she moved into a rented apartment in Mowe, Ogun State. The yet-to-be identified woman took – John Segun, 5, Darasimi Ilesanmi, (two months old) and Fikayomi Bankole, 3, from their parents. She told their parents that she was going to a nearby shop in the neighborhood to buy them confectionaries. But she disappeared with them. Although the children belong to different to parents, they, however, live in the same building. . The incident occurred on Sunday last week. The abduction was discovered after one of the parents, tired of waiting and suspected foul play, raised the alarm. Ahead of the sit-at-home declared on Tuesday, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, has vowed to hold acting President, Yemi Osinbajo responsible should anything happen to pro-Biafra agitators.
