South Africa’s Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa who is vying to replace President Jacob Zuma has admitted to an extramarital affair but lambasted as “political smear” its revelation in newspapers, media reported Sunday. Details of his alleged affairs with as many as eight women were splashed on Sunday newspapers, after the businessman turned politician failed to gag media from publishing the story in a late night urgent court application. He denied cheating with eight women but admitted to having one affair. “I had a relationship with only one person and it ended. I dealt with it with my wife. We now have a professional relationship,” Ramaphosa told Sunday Times. Baby slowly died in hot car after mum left her for 6 hours to get hair done

A mum who left her one-year-old baby daughter in the car while she got her hair done for six hours has been charged with second degree murder. Dijanelle Fowler, 25, also faces charges of cruelty to children and concealing a death. Fowler, from Georgia in the USA, arrived for her hair appointment at 10.06am on June 15. Police say there's no sign she intended to harm the baby and had put her air conditioning on in the car, leaving daughter Skylar in the back seat. But the car's battery reportedly died some time after, switching off the air con and leaving the little girl in the vehicle with rising temperatures on the hottest day of the month. The temperature in Georgia on that day was around 92 degrees Fahrenheit - or around 32 Celsius. Temperatures inside vehicles on such a hot day can climb much higher. A Hispanic man died after developing sepsis when his fresh tattoo wound became infected from swimming in the sea. The unidentified 31-year-old ignored advice given to those with new inkings that they should wait for two weeks before venturing into pools or oceans. Instead, he decided to venture into the warm waters in the Gulf of Mexico just five days after obtaining a religious cross on his right calf. According to Daily Mail,But because his wound was still fresh, it became contaminated with a flesh-eating bacteria that tore chunks out of his skin and ultimately led to his death. The day after he went swimming, he developed a fever, chills and a red rash close to his tattoo, experts wrote in the BMJ Case Reports. His condition continued to worsen over the next two days, before he was eventually admitted to hospital, they said.

65% of Chinese firms in Nigeria not documented –Report

A global consulting firm, Mckinsey, says out of the 930 Chinese companies operating in Nigeria, only 317 are documented by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. According to a new research report titled, ‘Lions on the move II: Realising the potential of Africa’s economies’, there are over 10,000 operational Chinese firms spread across the manufacturing, construction, trade, services and real estate sectors in Africa. Mckinsey said these firms had employed 300,000 local workers and as at 2015, a third of them reported about 20 per cent profit. It said their total revenue came to $180bn, which could rise by 38 per cent to $250bn by 2025 or more than double to $440bn. Despite the Chinese presence in Nigeria, the organisation said only Ethiopia and South Africa had a high level of engagement, The Cable reported. A seemingly ‘depressed’ American singer, Ariana Grande, has been pictured for the first time in her hometown, Boca Raton, Florida, after the Manchester bomb attack that left 22 people dead, with the youngest victim being just 8-years-old. The incident which occurred inside the Manchester Arena moments after concertgoers started to leave the venue of the Ariana Grande concert, left 64 people injured, making the UK government to raise its threat level to “critical”, the highest level for the first time in a decade.
