A talented young footballer has sadly died after a mystery bug which started off with earache and caused him hallucinations and seizures. The grieving family of Josh Ayuba, 18, have paid tribute to “an amazing son” who was “intelligent” and “always smiling”. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that it will not make any comment on the monies traced to former Minister of Petroleum, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke. Kaduna govt warns against circulation of inciting images, vows to prosecute culprits

. The Kaduna State government has called on residents to desist from spreading rumours and circulating images appealing for reprisal in Kajuru Local Government Area and other parts of the state. According to a statement signed by Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s spokesperson, Samuel Aruwan, a weekly security meeting of the Security Council condemned the ongoing circulation of the call-to-revenge images and warned those engaging in the act to desist. Couple who sold their own first child on credit, arrested for abduction .

A couple, Ifeanyi Anyanwu and Amarachi Ugorji, have been arrested by the Anti-Kidnapping unit of the Imo State Police Command for allegedly stealing and selling a two-year-old boy, Ikechukwu Nwachukwu, for N500,000. According to Punchng, the couple allegedly stole the child on August 28 from his parents in Umuozu-Uguiri. Prior to the incident, Anyanwu and Ugorji had sold their own first child on credit to a man in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Andrew Enwerem, said in the latest incident, the couple kidnapped and sold Nwachukwu for N500,000 to one Ifeanyinwa Duru. Duru was said to have resold the boy to one Mrs. Chidinma Emmanuel, for N700,000. The couple, Duru and Emmanuel were nabbed in Aba, Abia State, and the child was rescued unhurt. 📸: Punchng

Over 200 Lawmakers Take Delivery Of Exotic Cars Which Costs N17m Each

Over 200 members of the House of Representatives have taken delivery of brand new exotic cars, though all 360 lawmakers have yet to receive their July salaries. On Sunday, the Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Mr. Abdulrazak Namdas, disclosed that over 200 members had been given Peugeot 508 series for “utility services.” Namdas stated that by the plan of the House, all 360 lawmakers would have taken delivery of their cars by December 31. Each of the vehicles cost N17m and will consume a total of N6.1bn to supply all 360 units. Namdas spoke further, “Over 200 have been supplied out of 360 and we are still getting more. Every member will get a car by the end of this year. Ghanaian footballer signs for Turkish club for 4.53 litres of olive oil

For months, the football transfer market has been quite busy with stars making huge money switch to other clubs around the world, but a Ghanaian-Turkey based footballer has just sealed a rare deal. 25-year-old Mohammed Sumaila, recently signed a one-month deal to play for Turkish regional side Yörükalispor for a fee of 10 pounds (4.53 litres) of olive oil. Ghana's City FM Online confirmed the signing of Sumaila who has been playing in Turkey since age 20 and has featured for Torbali, Tire, Soma and Gaziemir. According to the player, the people of the village did not have money so they offered to give him olive oil in return for his services. Air Force strike kills Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau’s wife in Borno

The Nigerian Airforce says the wife of the leader of the Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT) Organization, Mallama Fitdasi, might have been killed in a recent successful airstrike on Durwawa settlement on the outskirts of Urga near Konduga community in Borno state. A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Olatokunbo Adesanya, Mallama Fitdasi is believed to have been representing her husband in a coordinating meeting with other terrorists at the location of the airstrikes. It is recalled that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) had reported the successful aerial attack of a large number of Boko Haram terrorists at Durawa on 19th October.
