As its moves to summon IGP

The 14days ultimatum given to the Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris to investigate the killings of 73 people in Benue state by suspected Fulani Herdsmen no doubt ended yesterday yet no reply from Mr. Idris to the senate today.

In view of his absent and failure to report back to the senate, the senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki said “We must make it very clear to the security agencies that those kinds of ultimatums cannot be taken lightly. People think we are just going to sweep this under the carpet, the answer is NO. We are not going to stop until people are made accountable”, he said.
