Khloe Kardashian sued for posting paparazzi picture of herself on Instagram

The 32-year-old Revenge Body host is reportedly being sued by photo agency Xposure Photos for posting a picture of herself and sister Kourtney Kardashian headed to Komodo restaurant in Miami on Instagram in September last year.

According to a court documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Xposure Photos claims it had licensed the photo to the Daily Mail and KK did not have permission to use the image on social media.

It is also claimed that Khloe posted the photo on September 14, 2016 the image “had been altered to remove the CMI [copyright management information] showing plaintiff as the copyright owner of the image,” the complaint obtained by The Hollywood Reporter states.

US Weekly reports that a statement released by the company said that it would have profited from the picture further, had Khloe not posted it.

"Kardashian's Instagram post made the photograph immediately available to her nearly 67 million followers and others, consumers of entertainment news — and especially news and images of Kardashian herself, as evidenced by their status as followers of Kardashian —who would otherwise be interested in viewing licensed versions of the photograph in the magazines and newspapers that are plaintiff’s customers," the statement reads.

The British-based photo agency is reportedly demanding an injunction as well as damages of up to $150,000.
