NNPC Scandal: Group Managing Director, Baru, breaks silence

The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Maikanti Baru, has finally responded to allegations of corruption and violation of contract laws raised by the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibeh Kachikwu. Abiola Odedeji has been arrested by the Ogun State police, for stabbing a bike rider, Niyi James, aka Emi-Ero, in different parts of the body. Nigerian women's bobsleigh team become first African team to ever qualify for Olympics in the sport

The Nigerian women's two-person bobsleigh team made history on Wednesday, by becoming the first African team ever to qualify for a Winter Olympics in the sport. Driver, Seun Adigun including Breakmen Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga, completed the fifth of their required five qualifying races in Calgary on Wednesday. Their qualification, make them the first Winter Olympians to represent the West African nation. They will be representing Nigeria at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
