Soldier stabs motorcyclist to death, for shunning him in Ogun State .

Abiola Odedeji has been arrested by the Ogun State police, for stabbing a bike rider, Niyi James, aka Emi-Ero, in different parts of the body. Punchng learnt that the killer soldier had visited his girlfriend, Amada David, at Agbado Junction around 3.30pm, last Thursday, in company with his colleague, Damilare Oni. The soldiers went to the area on a power bike. It was gathered that after a short discussion, Odedeji and his girlfriend decided to go out on a motorbike. He was said to have stopped Niyi. An eyewitness, Akinjobi, revealed that Niyi declined on the grounds that he did not have a ticket to operate in the Ijaiye area. Akinjobi said, “The soldier (Odedeji) was angry that the okada rider said no to a military man and started flogging him with a horsewhip. 4-year-old Godwin Shekidat was abducted on February 13, 2017 by a couple at Masaka area of Nasarawa State. But when the boy’s father, Monday, a police inspector, received a message from someone claiming to know where his son was, his joy knew no bounds. But it turned out that the message was sent by a Cameroonian, 30-year-old Tanla Mirabel, who had lodged in Ikotun area of Lagos and seeking healing for her Asthma at TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations. Mirabel, it was learnt, was working in collusion with her Nigerian boyfriend, Rafael Adedayo. The police said both Mirabel and Adedayo saw an opportunity to extort money from Monday and grabbed it. Elderly Couple Strangled In Osun

The police in Osun on Sunday said unknown assailants strangled to death an elderly couple in Gbongan area of the state. The spokeswoman of the police in the state, Mrs Folashade Odoro, said in a statement on Sunday that their bodies was found at about 11 am at their residence in Gbongan. Odoro said the son of the couple, Caleb Akanbi, reported the death of his parents to the police after he found them strangled. “When police got to the scene of the incident, Mr Reuben Akanbi, 70, and Mrs Victoria Akanbi, 68, who lived in an isolated house were found dead with violence marks on them. “The crime is suspected to have been carried out overnight and the body of the deceased couple had been removed and deposited at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital for autopsy. “Police special detectives had, however, been deployed to fish out the killers, ” she said.

Patience Jonathan's house in Abuja demolished

One of the Abuja properties of former First lady, Patience Jonathan , was yesterday demolished by the Federal Capital Development Authority . The building which is located in Mabushi District of the nation’s capital, was being used to run a Foundation owned by the former first lady. Reacting to the demolition, counsel to the former first lady, Emmanuel Anene, said the FCDA had no right to demolish the building as the relevant authorities had been shown the building plan.
