Former President Goodluck Jonathan's cousin, Azibaola Robert, continues to face charges of fraud involving $40m.

EFCC has accused Azibaola of siphoning the funds meant for the supply of Tactical Communication Kits. Azibaola and his wife, Stella, and their company, One Plus Holdings, allegedly diverted $40million (Forty Million United State Dollars) purportedly meant for supply of Tactical Communication kits for Special Forces which was transferred from the account of the ONSA with the Central Bank of Nigeria. At the resumed sitting on Tuesday, a tenth witness in the case, David Nkpe told the court that, analysis of documents relating to ‘One Plus Holdings Nigeria Ltd’, showed that the company received the sum of $40million from ONSA. Nkpe told the court: “We investigated the utilisation of the funds and discovered that the funds were transferred to other companies including Bureau de Change and some of the funds transferred offshore to countries like London and United Arab Emirates”. Six Young Burundians, Who Were In The US To Compete In The International Robotics Competition, Disappears

A team of six teenagers from Burundi who represented the East African country at the FIRST Global Challenge robotics competition in Washington, D.C, have gone missing, the local police say. According to authorities in Washington, D.C, the Burundi team were reported missing at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, about the time the competition at Constitution Hall wrapped up. The team's mentor said they disappeared after the competition, but he doesn't know where they went. Police reports say investigators tried to contact one missing teen's uncle but got no response. The reports state police canvassed DAR Constitution Hall, where the competition was held. The mentor said the teenagers have one-year visas, according to police reports. The teens range in age from 16 to 18 and include four males and two females. The D.C. INEC begins Dino Melaye's recall process today

INEC will today begin the recall process of Senator Dino Melaye from the senate. On June 21st, INEC released 188,588 signatures from registered voters in Kogi West Senatorial district seeking the recall of their senator, Dino Melaye. Melaye has maintained that the process for the collation of signatures was flawed as some of those who signed the recall registers were dead. He has insisted that the Governor, Yahaya Bello was behind the recall process and last week, he failed to secure an injunction from the Federal High Court Lagos to stop INEC from going ahead with the recall process. INEC also last week released the schedule and timetable for his recall. The exercise will begin today July 10th and end on August 19th.
